About me

Hello!  I’m Michele, and that’s me and my husband on a vacation in Lake Tahoe. You can probably tell by our hair that the water was absolutely frigid! But it was super fun and I’d do it again.

I do my best to “practice what I coach.” The best coaches and educators are those who can speak and relate from experience, not just from head knowledge. I incorporate prayer and praise, exercise, mindfulness, and nutrition into my daily routine. I love playing tennis, swimming in the ocean, and hiking, not only for the exercise but also for the sheer enjoyment and joy it brings. I also love to cook and bake and you can often find me in the kitchen experimenting. In the mornings, I start my day with a cup of coffee and quiet time with God, getting clarity, direction, and encouragement for the day.

I’ve always loved health as long as I can remember, but I’ve not always been healthy. I was overweight as a child and then again as an adult. I struggled with anxiety and depression. I’ve faced hormonal imbalances and gut dysfunction, and bad habits mastered me instead of me mastering them.

When I got saved and started walking out my salvation daily, I started learning the connection between faith and health. I came to know through personal practical experience the power of God's word and prayer when it comes to changing habits, thoughts, motives, and actions. It is Through Him—through Jesus and the indwelling presence and help of Holy Spirit—that I gain the courage, strength, insight, desire, ability, and motivation to continue leading an overcoming lifestyle. 

I am deeply passionate about health and wellness and seeing God’s people walk in the promises of His Word. It takes courage, tenacity, discipline, bravery, determination, diligence, patience, perseverance, and most of all, faith. But the rewards are well worth it!

My desire is to share with others the knowledge of how faith in God, lifestyle, exercise, attitude, and nutrition create a synergistic effect, resulting in increased health and wellbeing and a more joyful and purposeful life.

For most people, change is easier said than done

We say we want to change, but when it comes to the action part, we tend to resist it or really struggle with it. Paul says in Romans 7:15, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do, this I keep doing.”

I can relate to this! Can you?

This is where I as a biblical health coach come in. I become your partner, encourager, and educator to help you on your path of healing, health, and wellness. I can help you bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

My approach to health and wellness coaching is deeply rooted in the belief that true health comes from a holistic approach.

We are wonderfully created and intricately woven together. We are triune beings: spirit, soul, and body. These three are interconnected and influence each other in amazing ways. If you only work on your physical health and not your spiritual health, you will be out of balance. Vice versa, and disease can result. If you leave out the mind work, which is where the battleground always is, you may win the battle but lose the war. This is one reason I created the GLEAN course, which you can learn more about here.

True health starts on the inside first and works its way to the outside. Optimal wellness begins with having the knowledge, practical tools, and accountability to make, implement, and maintain healthy lifestyle and nutrition choices. My goal is to empower my clients to take an active role in their health journey, becoming their own health advocates.

Through coaching that is science-based and anchored in scripture, I help my clients grow, live, and thrive. It’s not just about achieving short-term results; it’s about a new and vibrant lifestyle. Through collaborative teamwork, I help them set goals and create a clear roadmap for their wellness journey. I place a strong emphasis on fostering a positive mindset, as behavior change starts with a thought before it becomes action.

Learning a new skill takes practice. Creating a new mindset takes cultivation. What you plant, water, and tend grows.

I encourage my clients to view setbacks as opportunities to learn more about themselves—learning what doesn’t work is just as important as learning what does!

In coaching, the decision to change, to set goals, or to take action steps is always up to you. It’s not about me holding you accountable; it's about you holding yourself accountable. It’s about determining what you value and implementing small, sustainable steps to align your decisions, actions, and thought processes with those values. And when what you value lines up with what God values and you start implementing that, your life and your health will be transformed!

Ultimately, my approach is about more than just improving physical health—it’s about helping my clients achieve a balanced, fulfilling life where they feel empowered to pursue their God-given purpose with confidence, clarity, freedom, and joy.
